A week in Victoria’s well-loved National Parks
It’s been a few years since I life my life in Victoria behind and moved back to my home state of Queensland. Whenever anyone asks me if I miss the Victorian way of life, I must admit, I do miss my beautiful friends down there and the diverse range of National Parks within 3 hour radius of my old home.
I feel very fortunate that my job can provide the opportunity to re-visit some of the most beautiful places I have explored with my camera inside Australia.
Working for VIC Parks and Visit Melbourne was the first job in a stint of one month on the road, filled with four back-to-back jobs and a lot of travel (13 flights to be precise). It is now that I am sitting here to write about the journey, a month later, I am transported to the fresh feeling of spring lingering in the air and I can see the animals roaming freely on the greenest of grass, hear the firewood crackling of the evening and remember that crisp night sky.

Spring Break in the Grampians
Before leaving for New Zealand I was apart of The Grampians Spring Break campaign. A fun filled few days of chasing light and fog, plenty of hikes, sunrises above the clouds and watching the sky burn then sparkle with the night sky. Hard to believe this is right in our backyard, The Grampians is only 3 hours just outside of Melbourne. Definitely a must do! The beauty speaks for itself here. Just waiting for a weekend explore.
You, Me & the Sea
We packed the car and went away for an adventure. Driving around the coast of Phillip Island, seal spotting, rainbow sighting, hiking over cliff tops, sleeping under the stars and waking up to the sound of the ocean with my best friend.
Snowy Daze
We visited Marysville last year had such a great time we couldn’t wait for the snow to fall to come back. It’s such a beautiful drive through The Black Spur and past some of our favourite locations in Melbourne. Only 90 minutes away from home and one of the cheapest and funnest ways to waste some time with my best friend.
A Weekend Getaway: Pepper's Mineral Springs
Steen and I took a trip to Pepper’s Mineral Springs over the weekend, a much needed weekend away without work (or maybe just a little bit of work) and mostly some time to relax. This was sort of a belated birthday surprise for Steen. I’ve briefly mentioned before that living and working towards your dream means a lot of sacrifice and in this case we finally had a weekend free together to celebrate his birthday.. a month or so late.
